The Queen Amina T. Grassroots Volleyball Initiative (QATGVI) is a community-driven non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people through sports, education, and mentorship.
We believe that talent exists in every community, but opportunity does not always reach every young person. Through volleyball, we create a platform where young athletes — especially girls and youth from underserved communities — can discover their potential, develop their skills, and build the confidence needed to succeed both on and off the court.

What We Do
Our programs go beyond sports. While volleyball serves as the entry point, our mission is to develop well-rounded individuals. We provide structured training, mentorship, educational support, and life-skills development that help young people grow into disciplined athletes, responsible leaders, and confident members of their communities.
At QATGVI, we see sports as more than competition — it is a powerful tool for youth engagement, personal development, and social transformation. By bringing together coaches, mentors, schools, communities, and partners, we are creating opportunities that allow young people to pursue excellence in sports while also strengthening their academic and leadership potential.
