Spike For Her

Empowering Girls Through Sports & Education

A national initiative designed to empower young girls across Nigeria through sports, education, mentorship, and leadership development.

October 10, 2026 | 10:00 AM
Abuja, Nigeria

About The Initiative

The Queen Amina T. Grassroots Volleyball Initiative (QATGVI) is committed to empowering young girls across Nigeria through structured sports development, education, mentorship, and leadership training.

In many communities, especially among underprivileged and vulnerable populations, young girls face limited access to education, mentorship, and opportunities for self-development. Sports has proven to be a powerful tool for engagement, discipline, confidence building, and social inclusion.

“Spike for Her” is designed as a national intervention platform to bridge this gap by using sports as a catalyst for empowerment, visibility, and transformation.

Our Aim: To empower young girls across Nigeria by providing a national platform that promotes sports excellence, education advocacy, mentorship, and leadership development.
